At the Manor

"She doesn't seem to be that different though", Yumi said.

Mark kept running after her and finally caght up to Bree. "Tag you're it now!", he said smiling as he tagged her. He turned and started to run away laughing.

Jacob snapped his Amu before looking back and glaring at Jason. "Jacob, if this continues you and your pack have to leave" Shellie said firmly, she was trying to think of ways to calm him but every thought in his head was just filled with hatred. Jacob looked at Shellie softly, released her waist and stepped around her. Jacob took his chance and lunged at Jason quickly.

Daniel changed into a wolf in an instant and lunged for Jacob's neck. He made it just in time and held him down to the floor. Jacob's neck firmly between Daniel's teeth.

Amu had stepped forward and was about to step in when Daniel beat her to it.

She watched nervously from where she stood, worried they might actually hurt each other. She didn't understand what Jacob was so upset about. His sister having a mate? What was so bad about that?

"I know. It's because she's strong," Yukiko said softly. She glanced out the window and saw them playing, a small smile crossing her features.

"But I think that seeing..../them/ again," The way she referred to the Slayers showed just how much bitterness and resentfulness she still held towards them. "Brought back her memories. I hear.....I hear her crying sometimes."

She took her eyes off of the window and looked back at Yumi.

"Aww!" Bree said. She turned and ran after him, laughing slightly as she reached out a hand as she tried to catch him.

Mark looked back and saw her catching up and turned and ran in a different direction.

Yumi looked out the window as well, then looked back at Yukiko. She didn't know what to say now.

Jacob looked up at Shellie whimpering. Shellie gently stepped around Jason and knelt down by her brother. Daniel let him go and backed away. "I know it displeases you I depend on someone else rather than you now. You have to understand that I relied on no one for most of my vampiric life and even though Jason is my mate and I love him very much I do not rely just on him but my family, those in this Manor. You were gone from my life for a hundred years and even though you were my brother whilst I was human you are no longer the person who kept me close." She told him calmly, she then switched to her native language "J'aimerais pouvoir vous dire autrement, mais ne peut pas" (I wish I could tell you otherwise, but I cannot)

Jacob looked sad as she spoke, tears falling into his fur.

Amu listened to the exchange between theme silently. Her face remained expressionless, taking a step back. She could sense this was none of her business. She only came up to make sure Shellie and Jason were safe, and she could tell they were now. She stopped when she was standing next to the door.

"And I.....I just worry about her so much."

She looked up at Yumi, blinking back tears. She smiled sadly.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't be telling you all of this," She said quietly.

Bree followed him quickly, running faster as she laughed.

Jacob let out a gruff sound, stood up turning his back on the girl he grew up with. She was right, they were no longer brother and sister, not like that had been anyway. He walked past Amu and Skylar and Daniel. He turned around looked at Shellie, who had by then moved back to Jason, he then growled lowly at Jason before running down the hall, downstairs and outside.

Tina looked at Marcus. He looked like he was asleep. She slowly sat down in the chair across from him, she felt awefully lonly at the moment.

Although he wasn't asleep, he kept his eyes closed, and didn't move a musle. He didn't know if he could trust these vampires, he wasn't a very trusting preson.

Lacey was sitting on her bed, again. She was listening to the comtion down the hall.

Amu stepped out of the way for Jacob to get by. She sighed, gave Shellie a half-hearted smile, and walked slowly back downstairs. She knew there was nothing she could do about it. She stopped when she passed the kitchen.

She walked in silently. Marcus looked as though he were sleeping. She thougth this would be a good opportunity to talk to her about him. As hard as she tired, she couldn't understand him. She quietly sat down on the chair next to Tina.

"Hey," She asid quietly. "Can I walk to you...about Marcus?" She kept her voice low, so as not to wake him.

Yumi smiled at her. "It's ok, I understand that you worry about her, since you're so close to her", she said.

Tina looked up. "Yeah, sure."

Marcus didn't move didn't make a sound. But he wasn't a sleep.

Careful Amu. Things here are not what they seem Shellie warned quickly. Skylar walked back to his room after Amu had left, leaving Shellie and Jason alone in her room again. The two lied back on the bed and looked at each other "I'm sorry" she muttered to him softly. He smiled and brushed a few strands of hair from her face.

"It's okay. Everything is fine now" his smile was crooked and sincere, this made her smile at him as well. "I love you" he told her

"I love you, too" she told him. She was still paying attention downstairs as the talked.

Amu ignored Shellie and instead looked at Tina.

"Marcus told me....about some of what's happened to him," She began quietly. "I don't....I still don't understand, though. Was he always.....this way?" She asked, realizing she was being vague but didn't really care.

Yukiko smiled.

"You're right, I do," she said quietly. "She's like my sister." She suddenly stood up.

"I'm sorry to bother you with all of this," she said again.

Yumi looked up at Yukiko. "No it's fine, you can talk to me about anything anytime", she said smiling.

Tina blinked. "What do you mean? Always cold? Ill-mannered? Stubborn?" She named a few of his traits that she knew Amu knew of.

Marcus didn't move, he kept his eyes closed, still looking like he was in a peaceful slumber. Prehaps to peaceful?

Amu just nodded. She glanced at Marcus quickly, but didn't notice anything out of the oridnry about him, thinking he was still asleep. She looked back at Tina, waiting.

Yukiko couldn't help but smile. Before she could stop herself she had wrapped Yumi in a hug.

"Thank you," She said quietly. She pulled back and smiled again before walking to the door and back downstairs. She looked out the window, and watched Mark and Bree again.

Yumi smiled and hugged her back. "you're welcome", she said and watched her leave.

Mark kept running and laughing.

Tina simply nodded. "Yes, but he isn't all bad. There's more to him." Tina said.

Marcus was becomeing slightly annoied.

Shellie rolled her eyes and closed her mind, focusing simply on Jason. She smiled at him and moved closer. They two soon fell asleep like that.

Skylar looked up at the ceiling "One thing after another" he muttered unhappily.

Daniel, who was now human, walked out of the Manor "Good bye" he said for anyone to hear. He ran back to Lycan Manor.

"Such as?" Amu asked. She wanted to believe her, she really did, but she hadn't seen even the slighest bit of good in him since the day she had met him.

Bree picked up the pace, managing to tag Mark. She turned to keep running when she saw Daniel coming towards the Manor. She waved excidedly at him.

Yukiko frowned, watching Bree. She stepped outside and saw Daniel coming back.

Tina was about to tell her he could be gently if he wanted to, when Marcus finally opened his eyes.

"Don't speak rot, Tina. And have I not told time and time before, not to speak of others when standing in front of them?" He said, annoiance in his voice.

Mark smiled and ran after Bree again when she tagged him and noticed Daniel.

Yumi stood at her window and watched Bree and Mark playing.

"Hey kiddos" Daniel said with a smile as he slowed to a walk. He walked up to Yukiko "You okay there?" he asked.

Amu jumped when Marcus 'woke up'.

"And you shouldn't pretend to be asleep, then eavesdrop," She snapped, glaring at him, suddenly tense again.

"Hi, Daniel!!" She exclaimed.

Yukiko smiled at Bree, then nodded at Daniel.

"I'm fine," She said quietly.

"I wasn't pretendig anything, you assumed." Marcus said. "And it;s not Eavesdroping when you are talking not even 10 feet away."
