At the Manor

"I'm----" She stopped herself. No, she wasn't sorry. He had done horrible things, and those would take forever to forgive. Instead she said

"I should have given you more of a chance."

"And what does that mean?" Marcus asked confused.

Amu sighed.

"When I found out you and Tina were mates. I should have given you more of a chance, since obvioulsy there has to be /some/ redeeming quality in there somewhere," She said. "I just can't find it."

Marcus frowned again. "Maybe she is just a fool to retrun my love. Maybe there isn't any redeeming quality. That would certainly expalin why you can't find it, now wouldn't it?" He said.

Amu glared at him.

"So is that what you're telling me? That you really are rotton to the core? That there's not reason I should dare to give you a second chance?" She asked.

Marcus glared back. "I said maybe, and you can take any way you please!"

Amu groaned in frustration.

"Honestly, why do I even bother?!" She exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air. "Fine!!" She yelled at Marcus, and turned and left, slamming the door behind her. The noise echoed throughout the Manor.

Tina was standing just down the hall, faceing Amu. "What happened?"

"Nothing," Amu snapped, harsher than she had intended. She took a deep breath, uncurling her fists. "Nothing," She repeated, quieter, softer.

Tina frowned. "No!" She said, "I wan to know."

"Marcus is frustrating me," Amu said truthfully, simply.

"Doesn;t he always?" Tina asked.

"Yes," Amu sighed. She had managed to relax a little bit, but was still somewhat tense.

Shellie woke up and walked out of her room. She stepped out into the hall and because she had kept her mind closed she jumped slightly when she saw Tina and Amu. "Oh, hey" She said as she realized who it was. She opened her mind and walked down the stairs. On a usual day she would have cared about Amu and Marcus having an issue but for some strange reason today she simply didn't. She thought about it for a moment and simply shrugged before walking into the kitchen and began to gather ingredients to cook.

Lacey closed the bedroom door and put the bag down, a few minutes later she was reading again. Or trying to, after a moment she threw open the window, and sat upon the sill. She sighed as she breathed in the cool night air.

Tina smiled and ran down the stairs, and through the front door, she was bored and wanted to play outside.

Amu smiled lightly and ran after Tina. She loved the little girl, though she supposed she wasn't so little. She just looked little. She wanted to get her mind off of Marcus for a while.

Shellie ducked her head out of the kitchen when she heard them run past it. "Have fun you two." she called after them before ducking back in.

Skylar was sitting on his window sill when he saw Tina and Amu run outside. He smiled and watched them.

Tina ran towards the nearst tree, not knowing Amu had followed, and started t climb it.

Amu laughed lightly and placed her hands on her hips, looking up at the tree, watching her climb it.

"Having fun?" She called up to her.

Tina, who still didn't know Amu followed her, jump sightly, and fell out of the tree. She landed flat on her back.

"Ow."

Amu's eyes widened slightly and she knelt down next to Tina.

"Are you okay??" She asked, her voice laced with worry.,

Tina nodded, sitting up. "I think so."

Lacey came down a few minutes later. He was standing in the doorway of the kicthen.

Shellie turned around when she heard Lacey. "Hey." She said with a smile. "How are you?" she asked as she turned back around and continued cutting a loaf of bread.

"Sorry," Amu apologized quickly. "I didn't mean to scare you."

She stood back up and offered Tina a hand to do the same for her.

Lacey smiled. "I'm fine, thank-you."
