At the Manor

Yukiko smiled at Yumi.

"Um....can I....talk to you?" She asked nervously. She had never really gone to anyone with anything, so this felt strange. But she felt as though she could trust Yumi, and really needed to talk to someone right now.

Bree kept running, glancing behind her every few seconds to see how close he was.

Yumi nodded and moved out of the way to let her in. "Yeah", she said smiling back.

Mark was getting closer to Bree, he smiled and tried to tag her back, but couldn't catch up to her yet.

Bree laughed, then suddenly changed directions.

Yukiko smiled slightly and stepped inside.

"It's....about Bree, and me, I guess," she said quietly.

Yumi nodded. "What about you and Bree?", she asked.


Mark tried to turn quickly and follow her but tripped and fell over laughing. He got back up and ran after her again.

Shellie listened, trying to process her thoughts. Sure, she hadn't thought of all the implications of a Dhampir, but she didn't truly care. She would do what she had to for her as long as she lived in Blood Manor. "After hearing this my offer still stands, you are welcome to stay here. The cough needs to be checked first though" she told her calmly.

Lacey looked at Shellie when she spoke. "And would that, may I ask, mean I must see a doctor?" She asked.

She detested doctors, neddles, and such. Plus it was always a pain to keep them from discovering her halfblood. Hard, yes. Impossiable, no. But she didn't like that chance.

"Sadly, yes. I'll do what I can to make it as painless as possible" Shellie told her simply. Jason stood at the door, a frown on his face. Shellie had told him how she managed to get what she needed the way she wanted it done and it made him unhappy to know it. Shellie gave him an apologetic smile, before she would have felt bad for the human she was seducing into helping her but now she also had to worry about how she did it now that Jason was her mate.

True, she had never really done anything to the men who provided her something other than the mere thought of it. But now, it was a more delicate process, one that required more words than before to suck a simple minded man into doing as she asked of him. One that also required getting Jason away from her long enough to do so without his thought's disrupting her.

Amu sighed. She knew what Shellie was going to do to get someone to see her. She didn't like the thought, but there was no other way, unless one of the others would do it.

She stayed on her knees by Lacey's bed, watching Shellie carefully. Suddenly she turned her eyes to Lacey again.

Lacey sighed and looked down. "If I must."

She looked at the blood on her hands. She didn't have anything to say.

"Yes, you must" Shellie said lightly. She looked up at Amu "There is no other way without questions being asked. Unless you or Emma would like to do it. But Skylar will act like Jason is and Emma doesn't exactly seem like that type." she herself was racking her brain for another solution but none of them ended well. I just need to get Jason out of here first she thought to her quickly. "I'll call a doctor tonight" she said sternly, not meaning to sound as she did but she was no longer calm.

Amu frowned but nodded at Shellie. She sighed, then stood up, realizing they had left Marcus alone downstairs. She still didn't trust him, and though she would be able to hear if anyone was in trouble or something was wrong, she turned and practically ran out the door and down the stairs without another thought, stopping in the entrance to the kitchen, not even breathing fast.

"It's just---" Yukiko sighed, pausing. "Ever since the incident with the Slayers she's been.....different." She didn't really know how to describe it.

Bree continued to run.

Lacey didn't say anything, just listened.

Tina followed Amu, slowly,

Marcus looked up at Amu, a very bored look on his face. He hadn't move from where he was when they left him. "Don't trust me by myself?" He asked.

Shellie sighed lightly and walked out of Lacey's room. Jason was stiff as she kissed his cheek and the two walked down stairs and into the kitchen. "Everything okay?" Shellie asked as she walked passed them to get a glass. She got one out and began to fill it with human blood.

"I don't trust you at all," Amu spat, folding her arms across her chest and glaring at him. When Shellie walked in as if nothing were wrong she relaxed, but only slightly.

"Everything's just peachy," She mumbled, not taking her eyes off of Marcus, even for a second.

He'll probably be gone by morning, just calm yourself Shellie twisted her mind slightly so Amu could here what she read instead of just her thoughts Everything will be fine she set the container of blood down and passed the glass she had poured to Jason, who intermediately took a drink from it. "I'll be upstairs if you need me" She excused herself from the room and walked up stairs with Jason a step behind her.

Tina stood next to Amu, frowning.

"Good to hear, I don't trust myself half the time." Marcus said flashing her a wicked smile. But it was gone in an insant. He wasn't planing anything, expect leaveing at soon as poissable.

Amu just nodded as Shellie and Jason left, leaving her, Tina, and Marcus alone in the kitchen.

Amu saw the smile and tensed up again. What had she been thinking, telling him to come here?! She should of left him in the woods.

No....the thought quickly left when she thought about what that would have done to Tina. She stayed near the doorway, not moving a muscle.

Pay attention to his thoughts. It will tell you what he plans Shellie thought. She and Jason walked into her room. She sat on her bed as he stood, not wanting to get blood on her white sheets. Even though she physically with Jason, mental she was in the kitchen and even partly watching Lacey.

Jacob came out from his hiding spot, underneath the dining table. No one had realized he was there but staying still had made his muscles hurt. He stiffly walked out of the room.

Skylar walked back in the kitchen and watched them all tensely.

Lacey stood up, but didn't go anywhere. She stood still, not moveing. She didn't know what to do. After a moment she stepped out of her room, and went to the bathroom, she quietly washed the blood off her hands.

Marcus leaned back in his chair, and closed his eyes.

Tina looked up at Amu. "He's not that bad of a person." She told him.

"You souldn't talk about people in front of them." Marcus said planly.

"I have a hard time believing that," Amu said stiffly. She looked at Skylar when he came in, relaxing slightly, but didn't let her guard down. She decided she would need to talk to Tina later.

Skylar smiled reassuringly at Amu. "You okay?" he asked her kindly, he ignored Marcus's existence for them time being.

Shellie smiled as Jason sat on the edge of her bed. He was still uncomfortable about what Shellie would have to do later but she had planned on changing that. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him deeply. He didn't protest and kissed her back.

The two heard growling at the door and since Shellie had been paying more attention to Jason instead of others thoughts she jumped and looked at the door. There, still as a wolf, as he usually was while inside the house, was Jacob. He snarled as if wanting to attack Jason. "Let's calm down now" Shellie said calmly, her brother ignored her and snarled loudly.

Lacey slowly walked back to her room. She walked back to the window and opened it. She sat on the window sill with her legs hanging out.

Tina frowned, and looked at Marcus.

"And sometimes no fun, too." She added

Amu couldn't help but chuckle slightly at Tina's last comment. She nodded at Skylar, and was about to say something when she heard the loud growling upstairs.

"Oh, no," she mumbled. She turned and ran from the room and up the stiars, stopping by Shellie's door. She didn't even bother to knock, sensing something was wrong. She simply opened the door, stopping when she saw Jacob.

"Sorry to disrupt you downstairs" Shellie said quickly to Amu, she was standing in front of Jason defensively. "It seems that Jacob hates Jason more that I thought" a worried look across her face I can't choose between my brother and my mate. I fear Jacob won't be happy with my choice she thought morosely.

Jacob looked at Amu and then back at Jason and Shellie, his arm firmly around her waist angered him more and he snarled loudly again.

"If you'll excuse me" Skylar said as he slipped out of the kitchen and ran upstairs. "Dan!" he shouted and Daniel was at his side in human form in seconds. The two ran to Shellie's room and were both surprised to see Jacob was the one snarling.

"Calm down, Jacob," Amu said, her voice controlled but it wouldn't stay that way for long. She was in a horrid mood and couldn't deal with all of this right now. She glanced at Daniel and Skylar when they came in, but didn't speak.

She took a step closer to Jacob. "Calm down," She repeated.
