At the Manor

"No" Marcus said. "Thank-you."

"What? What happened?" Tina asked.

Amu blinked in surprise. Had she just heard Marcus say thank you??

She shook it off when Tina spoke.

"Eric," She said simply. "But he's okay," she quickly reassured her. "He's downstairs. Shellie is helping him with his wounds," She said, with a small smile at the younger girl.

"You're welcome" Shellie said as she packed the first aid kit up. She walked to the fridge and pulled out to containers filled with red fluid, one animal, and one human. She set them on the table in front of him with a glass between them "You should eat something" she told him, her voice had no sense of anger nor did she feel any towards him. She didn't feel threatened for the time being so she was treating him like she would a member of her coven.

Marcus took a cup of human blood. He didn't drink animal blood. He felt slightly starnge here. He quickly finshed off the cup. He glanced around but said nothing.

Tina stepped out of the room, closeing the door behind her. She looked up at Amu before heading down stairs.

Lacey sat up in bed. It was almost Dawn, she was always up to wacth the sun raise.

Amu drew in a long breathe before following after Tina down the stairs. She could sense the sun was rising soon, and knew Marcus would be stuck here, at least until nightfall. The thought irritated her.

Calm down Amu Shellie warned quickly. She took a cup of animal blood and waited for them to come into the kitchen. "I do hope we can make your stay comfortable here" she told Marcus, "No matter how long it is." she was trying to be polite. Jason grabbed her hand and stood by her side, his body somewhat rigid

Marcus only nodded. When Tina walked in, maybe the slightest cruve of his lips was a smile. Maybe.

Amu walked in soon after Tina, her body stiff and rigid. She stayed near the doorway, her arms folded across her chest as she watched Marcus.

He seems happy Shellie thought quickly. She watched Marcus closely, not sure if she should completely trust him yet but she had to because he was Tina's mate.

Tina smiled at Marcus. She ran up to him, and not careing about others being around, she hugged him. It took him a moment but he genlty warpped an arm around her. It only lasted for a second, through.

Amu tensed up even more when Tina ran to him, and blinked in complete and utter surprise when he hugged her back.

'Maybe I don't need to worry...' she thought, but quickly shook it off. She remained silent, leaning on the doorframe though she didn't relax, not even a little bit.

There is no need to worry...yet Shellie told her calmly. Jason's arms were wrapped around her waist and she was leaning back into his chest. A small smile crossed his face as he breathed in her scent. She smiled at something he thought and looked up at him lovingly "I love you too" she mumbled to him. He kissed the top of her head lightly and the two looked back at Tina and Marcus, her face calm and his slightly edgy.

Jacob growled slightly at Jason, he was still uncomfortable with his sister having a mate, but Shellie shot him a look quickly and he shut up.

Skylar walked into the kitchen, he didn't know everyone had gathered in there. "Oh, should I go?" he asked nervously

Lacey was still sitting in her bed, she suddenly started to cough. She was use to coughing, she been sick for most of her life. It didn't even faze her when she coughed blood.

Marcus leaned back in the chair and closed his eyes, thinking. His eyes suddenly snapped open. "I smell human blood . . . . no, not human." He said strangely.

Amu shook her head at Skylar.

"No, we're just...." she didn't know /what/ they were doing. When Marcus spoke her eyes snapped over in his direction. Her eyes grew wide as she realized.

"Lacey...." She mumbled. She hadn't really gotten a chance to talk to her much as of yet, but she understood what she was. No one else's blood would smell partly human.

She turned and ran up the stairs without another word. She could hear her coughing even from downstairs. Once she was at the top she knocked on her door.

"Lacey??" She called, her voice laced with worry.

Shellie leapt out of Jason's arms and ran after Amu "Lacey!?" she called, reason and logic suddenly disappearing from her mind. She stood at Lacey's door waiting anxiously. Jason ran after her and joined her soon after.

"Everything okay?" he asked.

"She's fine but hacking blood isn't normal" Shellie said quickly. Jason nodded and waited as well.

Tina looked up at Marcus before running off. "Is she okay?" She asked not sure what was happening.

After a few more moments the coughing stopped. She looked down at her hands and the blood.

"I'm fine." She said a moment later. She didn't want to worry the, but maybe that was impossiable now. After all she was coughing up Blood!

Amu shook her head and walked into the room, leaving the door open behind her. She walked over to Lacey and paused when she saw the blood.

She knew bleeding in a house full of vampires was never a good idea, especially if you were half human. She glanced at Shellie, hoping that the others who preferred human blood would be able to control themselves. She kneeled down next to Lacey.

"Does this happen often?" She asked quietly.

Shellie walked in after here, leaving Jason by the doorway so he wouldn't have to control his need for blood. She looked at Lacey with a frown "YOu should have told me this was a problem, you live in a house of vampires where only two drink animal blood."

Yukiko was sitting downstairs at Lycan Manor on the couch, reading a book. She wasn't really paying attention to the words she read, though. Her mind was drifting off, back to the time they had spent with the Slayers. She unconciously gripped the book tighter. She took a deep breathe, relaxing herself before glancing worriedly out the window. She could see Bree outside playing and laughing. Though Yukiko knew that everything that had happened had taken its toll on her. She acted so happy during the day, when she was around Mark especially. Yukiko knew she had a crush on him, and though it was cute. But she could hear her crying at night sometimes. She sighed, and looked back at her book.

Bree was running around outside just as Yukiko had seen. She was trying to release some of her pent up energy, though that was nearly impossible. She simply had too much.

Lacey looked down. "I know, but I thought I would have left before it happened again. I wasn't planing on staying long, so I thought. . . . " She didn't know what she thought, and now that she tought about it, she had no true reason why she didn't say anything. She sould have. "I'm sorry." She said. A tear rolled down her cheek. "Sould I also say now that I'm prone to all kinds of illnesses?"

Amu sighed.

"That would of been nice to know," she said sharply, but her voice changed when she spoke again. "From what I understand, you left your clan, right?" She was still kneeling next to her bed. "You're welcome to stay here, if you wish," She said. She would feel much more comfortable with her here than Marcus, but knew Marucs probably wasn't going anywhere, not with Tina here.

"But," Lacey looked down at her hands. she didn't say anything.

"You left your coven?" Tina asked from the door "Why would you do that? Aren't they lioke your family?" She asked. The tought maybe I sould keep my mouth closed did not cross her mind.

Mark was running around outside with Bree smiling.

Yumi was standing at her window in her room watching Bree and Mark run around. She was happy that they were friends. She smiled as she watched them.

Amu frowned. Technically speaking, she had left hers, too. Well, been forced out.

"I'm sure she had a reason, but whatever that reason is is none of our business," Amu said quickly. She looked at Lacey. "Is there anything we can do to help with your cough?" She asked. Honestly, she had no idea /what/ to do. When Tina's ears had bled before she had freaked out, unsure of what to do about even that.

Yukiko stood up, setting the book down on the couch. She walked upstairs and knocked on Yumi's door, biting her lip nervously as she stood there.

Bree laughed, and tagged Mark.

"Tag, you're it!!" She shouted, and then took off running again.

Mark smiled when Bree tagged him, and ran after her laughing.

Yumi watched them run off, then looked at her door when she heard a knock. She walked over to the door and opened it. "Yes?", she asked looking at Yukiko.
