At the Manor

"Maybe," Amu said, with a small laugh. She shut her book and smiled at him.

"I'm sorry" Skylar said still grinning.

"I forgive you," Amu said, giving him a light kiss on the cheek. She laughed slightly, then sighed, looking back down.

Skylar grabbed her hand lightly and wound his fingers through hers. He squeezed her hand gently smiled at her. "Would you like me to go so you can read?" he asked, not really wanting to leave but he thought he should be polite.

Amu just shrugged. Truthfully, she had a lot of things she needed to think about, not really read. She glanced at him and just nodded.

"If you wouldn't mind," She said quietly. She didn't want him to go, but she really did need to think for a while.

Skylar unwound his fingers and touched his hand to her cheek. "I'll see you later." he said before kissing her cheek and walking out the the room, closing the door lightly behind him.

Amu nodded and sighed once he was gone. She lay back on her bed, staring at the ceiling. She was so confused! Mostly about Marcus. She knew she couldn't let her guard down, but still.....

She groaned in frustration and buried her head in her pillow, screaming into it.

Emma got some clotehs that looked like they would fit Lacey. She went up to the counter and payed for them and walked out of the store. She started to head back to the Mannor, and looked at some people that were walking around.

Marcus walked pass Amu's room, towards the small room at the end of the hall. He didn't leave there much, unless it was going to see Tina. This might have been for the best. He didn't really feel welcomed, no matter what they said.

Tina woke a moment later. She yawned. She had no idea Marcus was in here a few moments ago, she never did. She smiled and stood up. She quickly changed. She changed into a black skrit and a long sleaved white shrit. for some reason she like to wear black and white, althrough she seemed she would like to wear pink alot more. She always liked black and white better. She brushed her hair and stepped out of her room, hummong lightly.

Lacey sat on a chair in her room, she was reading the book of fariytales. She always liked fariytales. She could read them over and over again, and never get bored of them. She prefered the ones without a happy ending. Why? Because with out them they seemed more real. She knew all to well nothing had a happy ending.

When Emma got back to Blood Manor she went up stairs and knocked on Lacey's door to see if she was still awake.

Lacey closed her book silently and walked to the door. She unlocked it. She still did that out of habit, she also locked her window out of habit. She opened the door, and looked at Emma. "Hello." She said.

"Hi", she said and handed the bag to Lacey. "I went out and got you some clotehs that should problably fit you better then my clothes do", she said smiling.

Amu sighed. She knew what she had to do, if she was to ever put her mind at ease. She stood up and walked out of her room, and down the hall to Marcus' room. She knocked lightly, and waited for an answer.

Lacey's eyes grew wide. "Thank-you." She said taking the bag. "I was gonna get some today, but I don't like shopping for clothes." She said happily.

He didn't get up. "What?" He asked, he was laying back on his bed, his legs over the side.

Amu was slightly irritated.

"It's me, Amu," She called. "Can I come in??"

Marcus sighed. "I don't care."

Emma smiled. "You're welcome", she said.

Amu rolled her eyes and opened the door, stepping in. She closed the door behind her and leaned against it, closing her eyes. Suddenly she opened them and looked at him.

"You going to stay?" She asked.

Marcus frowned. "Tina doesn't want to leave, so I'm staying." Marcus said. "Tring to get rid of me?" He asked. Sitting up.

"No," Amu said, standing up straight now. "I've been holding up my end of the deal, right? Being nice to you?"

She watched him closely as she waited for an answer.

Marcus frowned again. "Like I said before, if you don't want to be nice me Don't!" He said looking at her. "It's not like I'm use to people hateing me."

"You can't expect me /not/ to hate you, honestly, can you??" Amu suddenly demanded, folding her arms across her chest and glaring at her. "Have you honestly given me any reason /not/ to??"

"No I haven't and thats why I'm telling to stop being nice to me if you don't want too." Marcus said. "Go ahead hate me, like I care."

Amu groaned.

"You're so frustrating!" She said. "I actually came in here to tell you that I----" she paused. What /had/ she come in here to tell him?

"I wouldn't be me otherwise." He said. "What did you come tell me?"
